How to Save Time Now: Turn Off Your Time Machines

If you want to save time while also connecting more with the world around you, you’re going to have to turn off your time machines.

You may not think you own such a contraption, but if you’re reading this blog, then you’re already traveling in time.

If you want to save time for the things that matter, then you need to turn off or ignore all the technologies that fight to suck you out of your current time. Save time by living intentionally right now. This is the moment that really matters.

How much time do you spend on facebook, constantly trapped 10 minutes in the past and trying to catch up to the present? How about twitter, email, your favorite blogs?

Do your friends have to read your facebook updates to know what’s up with you? Does your wife or husband have to read facebook or your blog to know how much you loved the last meal they cooked?

Less than 10 years ago, many of us waited 3 days to receive a letter. Why do you feel you HAVE to be caught up on your email right this minute?

Every time you jump in one of these time machines, you are missing out on the world that is right in front of you. Come back… we miss you.

If you use email, facebook and the like, set aside a time for them. I mean, when you have a time machine, you might as well use it. But don’t let yourself get addicted to time travel.

Save some time for those of that are right in front of you.
