Dads! Do you have a plan for Mother's Day?

Mother's Day

One week left… if you’re just now looking for Mother’s Day ideas, I fear for you brother.

But maybe I can help.

Not long ago, the only “Mom” to worry about was my own… but there’s a new Mom on the block, my wife!

I’m a young dad… 4 years… I’m learning, but I still SUCK at Mother’s Day.

If you’re like me, here’s some ideas that might make things smoother for both of us this year:

Plan a meal

My wife absolutely ROCKS in the kitchen. I… do not.
She realizes this, but the gesture of cooking a meal… the attention and planning ahead and struggling to learn can make up for lack of skill most any day.

Looking to do breakfast or brunch? Check out these recipes from Kaboose.com.

For dinner, man, the Food Network has you covered.

And if you’re feeling crafty, try out these fruit bouquets!

And if, like me, you’re not sure you’re brave enough to go it alone, planning a meal you can both contribute equally to is probably a good first step!

A simple gift

If the TV and Radio are right, I should bust open my piggy bank and bling out my wife with diamonds.

That’s BS for most women I know… something simple and made from the combined hearts of her children and man will rock her world.

This dude has the right idea.

Make it your own

Copying someone else’s project will do in a pinch, but make sure to add something to make it your own.

I’m trying out a small project this year that I’ll gladly share once my wife has seen it…
